Capgemini India is one of the first organizations to achieve certification to ISO 41001
BSI, the business improvement company has today launched a new certification scheme to help organizations develop, implement and maintain effective facilities management across all operations.
The global facility management market was valued at USD 31.96 billion in 2017 and is expected to reach a market value of USD 64.5 billion by 2023. In order to support this growth, it’s vital that organizations can apply an integrated and consistent approach to facilities management, regardless of the site, location or country.
This new scheme is based on the international standard ISO 41001 Facility management. Management systems. Requirements with guidance for use. To achieve certification to the standard, organizations undergo an independent assessment including a rigorous on-site audit covering all the requirements of ISO 41001.
ISO 41001 recognizes the value facilities management delivers as part of an organization’s strategic direction. It provides guidance to organizations on how to manage the life cost and usability of assets, services and obligations to workspace users and control the environmental impacts of operations.
Capgemini, a global leader in technology services and digital transformation, is one of the first organization to achieve this certification in its industry.
Vincent Moreau, Head of Corporate Real Estate Services for the Capgemini Group said: “Our mission is to centrally manage the Group’s real estate interests, optimize its office portfolio utilization and provide high quality efficient services to our business, all in alignment with our Capgemini brand. ISO 41001 certification has played a critical role in helping us transform our workplace service delivery performance and energised us to exceed the expectation of the business. At an operational level, it helped us create and operate a workplace management system which fosters high productivity, innovation and has wellbeing at its core.”
Ahmad Alkhatib, Assurance Business Development Director at BSI commented: “As organizations focus on delivering a sustainable workplace that responds to evolving technologies and user
needs, facilities management has an important role to play. This certification scheme helps organizations to recognize the scope of their responsibilities and create a management structure, with appropriate resources to fulfil the needs of stakeholders.
“We’re delighted Capgemini is the first organization to achieve this which will help them to ensure effective Corporate Real Estate Services operations, maximises their productivity and deliver tangible value for business.
